The new Industrial Emissions Directive (IED) has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union on the 15th of July 2024 and entered into force on the 4th of August 2024.
It consists in a series of amendments to the previous Directive IED 2010/75/EU, of which a consolidated text is not available yet.
The revision introduces comprehensive changes aimed at reducing industrial emissions, among which two are very important for the aluminium surface treatment sector.
